The Artist
Sarah Forsythe Zobrist

A South Carolina native, Sarah spent 6 years in California before returning to her hometown of Greenville.  Her art is influenced by the beauty of the western landscape as well as her southern heritage.  With the majority of her subjects focused on landscapes and animals, her desire is to reflect The Creator’s hand in everything she creates.

The Name
A painting of a purple goat was the first painting Sarah sold. Since the majority of her work is fairly realistic, the whimsy of the “unrealistic” color of the goat came as a surprise – both to the artist herself and to others viewing her work. The humor associated with it has become a trademark – sometimes obviously, sometimes subtly – of her work.
